Performance issue in vclass
Hi All,
I am facing performance issue in my V2500 server its having 2cpu and 2gbram
With Hp-ux11.00 and oracle8i. More than 200 users using it. If users are Increasing
The performance was very slow and both the cpu Load is more than 10 and the Idle time is 0
I am here with attaching the top output and give the advices how to go about it.
Thanks in advance
Bye

Re: Performance issue in vclass
Step 1.
You need more output.
I've attached a script to help you.
It collects data and measures it.
I guess I'd do a few things.
First, repost to the HP-UX forum. Next get the December 2002 patch bundle and do a complete installation.
If its an OS componenent using too much resource it may be fixed in that bundle.
My script, actually written for me years ago by HP and modified to run background by me will help you spot the problem.

Re: Performance issue in vclass
You also need probably to increase the size of your shared memory areas so Oracle can get work done more efficiently.
Its kernel tune time.
Sorry, I blanked on the obvioius in your post.
