Re: problem of kernel version

Which HBA card are you using?
What's the name of the driver package you're trying to install?

The 2.6 kernel series has some HBA drivers included. It is possible that you don't need a separate driver package any more.

If your HBA is not supported with the drivers included in the kernel, you need to find another driver package for your HBA.

Re: problem of kernel version

2.4 and 2.6 are two different kernel versions. Because are many difference between two versions, in most cases you should use different drivers for them. Check HP site for HBA drivers for 2.6 kernels.
