Problems with a Compaq Console Switch
I have 2 console switches, a 4-port model hooked up to 4 Compaq Unix servers and an 8-port box attached to 4 NT servers. Neither one seems to be reliable. The problems I am experiencing on the NT switch box is after switching between servers, sometimes the keyboard starts to lose it's mind by typing funky characters instead of what I want it to type. Also the mouse starts acting up by highlighting groups of icons instead on just the one you click on. Has anyone out there encountered similar problems and found a fix for this? I have to believe these things are supposed to work in a much more reliable fashion that this. Our only solution so far has been to reboot the server that the switch is having the problems with. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
