Process Resource Manager

I have worked with HP's PRM on HPUX. I have seen on the internet where they ported it to RHEL. Can anyone confirm this? Also, I can not seem to find it anywhere. Can I download it if available?

Re: Process Resource Manager

Post an article. I'd like to read it.

Based on how it works on HP-UX it might not be a terribly complex port.

This is what I've found:

http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/operating/prm/
from hp, good sign. Maybe download link hiding in there.

Re: Process Resource Manager

From here:

http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2001/010827b.html

You can read:

Other Linux manageability and high availability products from HP include HP Toptools 5.5, HP Servicecontrol Manager 2.5, HP Process Resource Manager and HP MC/Serviceguard software.

Maybe you should contact HP directly.

Re: Process Resource Manager

PRM is no longer available on Linux. It required a kernel modification that did not prove too popular with users. The last version that was available was tied to Red Hat Professional 6.

Global Workload Manager (gWLM) has been made available for Linux on IPF. http://www.hp.com/go/gwlm

Re: Process Resource Manager

gWLM is the way to go for Linux.
