I have installed a SUSE SLES 9 SP3 on a server with two HBA (QLOGIC). When I start SANsurfer and I try the connection the qlremote agent crashes with this message:
/usr/local/bin/qlremote: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/bin/qlremote: undefined symbol: SDGetVpd
while the SANsurfer connection error is:
Unable to connect to hostname: linux
Can anyone tell me what's the issue?
Thanks
Denis

Re: qlremote error
You could try looking in the documentation to see what libraries qlremote expects to find, then check your system to ensure they have been installed.
Sometimes you need to revert to a previous library version to get RPMs to work.

Re: qlremote error
Either missing a library or the variable that says where the library search path is not set.
Example
SHLIB_PATH
LD_LIB_PATH
LDLIB_PATH
It may be different for Suse.

Re: qlremote error
I had the problem with the HP packages (qlogic driver 8.01.03 and SANsurfer 2.00.30 build 66). Now I installed the last SANsurfer(build 78 from qlogic web site) and qlremote works fine.
Thanks to All. Denis
