Re: RAID-1 on ProLiant ML110 G5

IF your using the embedded SATA RAID controller it does not appear that a driver disk has been released for SLES11. You need the aarachi driver which does not ship with any distribution as it is a closed source driver. The RAID function of the embedded controller is software based and needs the driver.

Re: RAID-1 on ProLiant ML110 G5

I didn't install any driver on SLES11 and it seems work.

If i detach an HDD, system start and work normally.

At the reboot the BIOS alert me that di ARRAY is DEGRADED, thus i rebuilt it.

I test it detach before the firs HDD on port#0 e then the HDD on port#1, and in both case the system work and SLES11 run normally.

in my opinion, i will use SW raid on Linux level instead of the MB board.
