Red Hat Linux 5.5 Enterprise & Disk Management

Does Red Hat Linux have any type of disk management software, kinda like HP's SAM that helps with us newbie Linux Users?

I'm trying to carve out another Volume from a new server and am struggling!

I believe there is... there are partitioners even. But for Redhat Linux 5... there is System-> Logical Volume Management where you can do all sorts of Storage management.

Beware though -- it is not that scaleable and can be slow if you system has oodles of disks and filesystems...
