Red Hat Root Disk

Hi,

I need to make a Red Hat 6 root disk.

The Bootdisk-HOWTO gives clear instructions which were followed to the letter. However, "the compressed root image will not load to a ram disk".

Has anyone else been successful? The booting fails when reading the root disk.

Thanks.

Re: Red Hat Root Disk

You should create a Compressed Image such as bzDisk or bzImage.

Larger Kernels require the use of the bzip2 compression.
