Hi,

i just installed RHAS2.1U6 on HP Proliant DL360 G3, installation over NFS worked fine and after reboot system came up with grub, bootet but stopped when loading the module CCISS with message:

Loading cciss module

Re: RHAS2.1 U6 CCISS boot problem

Hi,

fixed the problem by just changing the BIOS settings OS selection from 'Windows' to 'Linux' :-)

Wow - I've got the same machines with the same driver - and while I did set them to "Linux" in the bios later on - I didn't start with that setting - and never had the problem.

What changed in your system that made that setting make a difference? ... Just so I know what to look for if I occurs on my systems...

Re: RHAS2.1 U6 CCISS boot problem

Hi John,

i really don't know what changed but it's a fact that if i change it back to 'windows' in the BIOS the system does not boot anymore !

i guess it has something to do with the interrupt handling and/or the number of interrupts available for the different OS's.. but i am really not sure ..
