Hi,
I've just installed RHEL-AS-4-U4 on a DL585 G2 with 2 x Dual Core Opterons and 8GB RAM. I've got PSP 7.40 installed too. I am getting continuous errors being barfed out to the console, which are filling up /var/log/messages too... it starts off like this...
Apr 30 16:38:28 gbahel161 kernel: Your time source seems to be instable or some
driver is hogging interupts
Apr 30 16:38:28 gbahel161 kernel: rip default_idle+0x20/0x23
These errors only occur while PSP is running. If I do /etc/init.d/hpasm stop they cease. Obviously however I want the various components of PSP to be running on this machine. The error which keeps being displayed is as follows (there's a lot of it)...

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Re: RHEL-AS4-U4 DL585 G2 Console Errors...
Shalom,
Take the 7.70 or higher version of the bootable DVD/CD for the system.
Boot from it.
Folllow the menus and update all firmware.
You mean G5 sever yes?
service syslog stop
At least temporarily to avoid filling the /var filesyste. I believe this problem should be resolved by firmware update. If not, run the hardware diags built into the bios. Test everything.

Solution
Hello Lee,
This looks like problem related to ilo drivers.
Update the drives from the below link
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/26677.html
Reboot needed changes to take place.
Updating the firmware will take care of your issue.
Cheers

Re: RHEL-AS4-U4 DL585 G2 Console Errors...
Thanks for the replies. Indeed upgrading the hprsm RPM to a newer version solved the problem, as per "Certification & Info's" URL.
