RMB not supported?

Hi,

I would like to ask when the announcement was made by Agilent regarding RMB not being supported by Unix OS version 11.x?....This version includes version 11i correct? Is there any news regarding STE9000 platform not being supported by version 11i? Please advise. Thanks

Thanks. This link is certainly helpful. But I seem to be hunting the Agilent site for an article or for the announcement where Agilent Technologies mentioned they would not support RMB in the Unix version 11.x. any ideas? Also, does anyone seem to have any info about STE 9000 and whether it is supported by Unix version 11i?

I would suggest you contact Agilent regarding this question, as they would be the company that would have issued the statement, not HP

Check out this link. Looks like it's only for the Series 700. This was a great ATE platform engine. I'd used RMB, PASCAL, FORTRAN77 and Ansi-C to program Automated Test Equipment for GE/Martin-Marietta/Lockheed. Personally, I preferred the PASCAL to RMB as it was more robust. The compiled (vs interpreted) version of RMB was also buggy. Prior to support on HP-UX, both PASCAL and RMB were actually their own OS/OE on the Original Series 200/300 computer systems. A quick inspection of the internals docs for both PASCAL/RMB (pre-UX) would show that both were written in a VERY PASCAL-like language which I believe was called Modula-2.
