RPM

Dear All
i have installed Redhat enterprise 3 ES,and i want to install the Rpm's needed and register to the network,how to do that.

i guess by default network related rpms will get installed, you could install the network driver? what happens when you run netconfig command and assign ip address?

i install the system without assigning ip adress then i configure the ip adress i want to register to network but it does not work.

hi,

at the time of installation if it asked for assigning ip address then your network card is detected, else you need to install the drivers.

check which card you have and drivers are loaded or not

The package of which provides the 'rhnsd' is 'up2date'.

It should be installed by default.
One long-haired git at your service...

ok it is found but it does not connect me to the network the server is not registered
