RRDTool Dump to XML
Hi,
I am at the begining of developing a systems management Portal for one of our clients that will disply network info but the Client has provided lots of .rrd files. I've used the rrdtool dump to put the contents in to an xml file but the contents look meaningless. Are there any other steps I need to perform on an rrd file before using the Dump function?
The first few lines of the xml looks as follows:
0001

GAUGE

Re: RRDTool Dump to XML
Well that's what I'd expect to see in the file.
The NaN is "Not A Number" - i.e. no data.
You better read up on what a dump does.
Good luck. ...Laurie :{)
