/=1024 GB, /boot=100MB, swap=8192MB, /var=5120MB, /home=5120MB, /Opt=3096MB, /usr=6144MB, /temp=2048MB, /oracle=2048MB,/oradata=30720MB
Now i want to mirror these partitions on the 2nd disk having the same.How can i accomplish as i have no prior Linux experince.do we need additional software like Mirrordisk in HP-UX or we can do it from basic linux OS.If someone can forward me the procedure that will help me in doing disk mirroring.

your system does not have a raid controller ? If it has, it's better use hardware raid then software raid.
Just in case your system doesn't have a raid controller, linux has software raid that is called MD, just like HP mirror disk.

Anwar does not need to reinstall the hole system, he can build the raid device using the actual partions as the primary one.
Please verify the informations on the document that I have posted on my first reply.
