samba question

My sharing folder is defined as:
============
[Backup]
comment = "Backup team access only"
path = /home/private/Backup
valid users = vietnt conghc dungbt hiepvv dungnv
public = no
writable = yes
printable = no
create mask = 0777
===============

Problem are :
user conghc can create file1 on /home/private/Backup.
user dungbt can create file 2 on /home/private/Backup
but user conghc can not modify file1. and user dungbt can not modify file2
===
How can I fix them?

Re: samba question

Hi Nguyen,

What are the permissions to /home/private/Backup ?

Try to use the write list parameter :
write list = vietnt conghc dungbt hiepvv dungnv

Re: samba question

Hi Nguyen

if you want it immediately, try the following

force user = root or
force group = root

this should be working, than you have a time for exploring
