Scan HD bad sector
I use RHEL linux server , I would like to check if the server have had server , can advise is there any command / tool can do that ?

Hello.
The 'badblocks' command can be used. Note that modern drives have spare sectors which are used when bad sectors start developing - to see how many are used (via SMART) use the 'smartctl' command to query it.

thx reply , I use the command badblocks to check ,there are some bad block found .
I checked my vendor , this bad block is come from the raid set , most likely not from the HD bad block .
can advise if I use Raid 5 , how can I check the HD bad block ?
