Linux in an HP-UX forum?
2. Perl is Perl. And if you _were_ using
some OS-specific Perl features, how would any
of us non-psychics know anything from what
you've told us about your scripts (which is
approximately nothing)?

Perl is portable language , no migration neede normally, only if you use systems specific commands like command ;
system (command);
need to modify the system command.
