SLES8 --> SLES9

Hello people, we're a development house who writes our own software. After buying a couple of G4 servers and having a nightmare getting SLES8 to work with them, I'd like to move to SLES9, especially as we can go 64-bit at the same time.

Does anyone know what the principle differences between SLES8/9 is other than the 2.6 kernel?

I'd appreciate responses from people going through the transition rather than links to various sites with the differences! We're looking for pitfalls we need to be aware of or success stories in the migration.
