Smart Array 6402/128 Controller

I have a DL380 running redhat enterprise 2.1. I'm planning to install Smart Array 6402/128 controller to attach a disk array. What is the best utility available to partition the disk array and creat volumes?

Redhat E 2.1 does not support LVM.

After the array is prepared, fdisk in RH 2.1 will let you partition up the disk. Its not fun to use, but it does the job.

Hi kfupm,

You can use "Disk Druid" when install os.

This isn't true :)
Redhat AS have LVM but any way you first must use ACU or ORCA to make LUNs and after this use FDISK or cfdisk.

Hi kfupm,

as stated above, you do not have to consider much about the LVM if you are not going to use it, you just create RAID volumes through ACU and then partition the volume as usually you do through Fdisk, or Disk druid, when installtion process asks to do so.
