snmp agent configuration

Hi,

I need to configure into snmp configuration file, a specific source eth ip address.
I found out that all the traps goes out from my server through a wrong address.

Thanks.

Re: snmp agent configuration

Could you suggest the syntax of clientaddr entry, into snmpd.conf file?

Thanks.

Re: snmp agent configuration

I think the directive you might be looking for is:

v1trapaddress HOST

it defines the agent address, which is inserted into SNMPv1 TRAPs. Arbitrary local IPv4 address is chosen if this option is omitted. This option is useful mainly when the agent is visible from outside world by specific address only (e.g. because of network address translation or firewall).
