Suse KDE with Reflection X

Hello,

for a colleague i have to start a SuSE KDE on a Windows XP PC. Therefore i want to use WRQ???s Refection X. When I start Refection X it sends a broadcat in the net for ??? Unix Machines. What do I have to configure on the SuSE Machine?

Is there anything else like Refection X what i can uses for free?

Best regards,

Juergen

Re: Suse KDE with Reflection X

that broadcast that reflection X sends is used to search for machines that respond to the XDMCP protocol, and I think it could be activated in the linux boxes, but I don't know how.

A great (for me) alternative is VNC, that keeps the display in the remote machine's memory and you can see and use that screen with a tiny client on your windows box.

go to:
