sybase question
Hi all, I am running sybase on linux and am trying to do a load. Its keeps telling me that database is in use.
Do I need to bring the database offline to do the load, or what do I need to do to be able to load the data into the database. Thnaks and points will be assigned.

Re: sybase question
Shalom Sanjit,
Why don't you try bringing down the database and doing the load.
If it still doesn't work, there is something wrong with the database or the system.
If it DOES work, then you have evidence to support the idea that you must bring it down for a load.
You may be able to change the database status/mode and do the load.
I don't know enough about sybase to help with that.
