Telnet sessions disconnected on Linux 6.2 server
My telnet connections to my Red Hat Linux 6.2 server terminate at random and without warning. When I attempt to reconnect using telnet, I see the following message :
Please type [Return] two times, to initialize telnet configuration
For HELP type "?"

I hit enter twice as it asks but do not get a login prompt. If I retry after a few minutes I get the login prompt as normal.
Does anyone know what is causing this ?
Many thanks in advance.
