testing a postgres dump file
Hi there --
We are going through the motions of testing the backup and restore setups of our postgres database. The version of the database software is the HP-UX A.6.00-8.1.3.1 package.
One idea was testing the viability of the dump file. Does anyone know of a way of testing the dump file to determine if there is any corruption in it? Thanks.

Re: testing a postgres dump file
I think that the only valid test is restoring and opening the database to validate the backup.
