Upgrade linux
If i want to upgrade the linux version from rh7.2 to rh7.3 or rh8 , can i just overwrite the existing system, or need to totally remove the existing rh? My primary partition has two OS , one is win2000 and one is rh7.2 with lilo dual boot, what i need to do if i want to safely remove the rh without affect the existing windows? thx.

Re: Upgrade linux
Hi,
You could upgrade without any hassles.
But I would suggest you take a backup of all your data in the linux box and then re-install Linux completely.
There should be no problems with the dual boot, but dont forget it to configure during the fresh install.

Re: Upgrade linux
Hi,
I did this (7.2 -> 7.3) a few weeks ago, and had to adjust (again) the configuration files. (f.i. the xinetd.d files). Also installed software was gone (omniback client). So I was not a happy camper ;-]]
