I have a storage va7400 with emulex lp952l in one server ACER ALTOS 1200.
I had install red hat linux V9 with 2.4-22 kernel compiled.
The system recognize the hba and the lun´s. If i put data above 30MB, the server crash.

Re: va7400 with linux
You can check that the SCSI connection is compatible with the va7400.
If the SCSI card is SE and the VA7400 requires Low Voltage Differetial(LVD) you are going to damage the array, the cable and or the card with this setup.
Once that is worked out, you need to check that drivers are up to date and supported. I think you may have strayed a bit off the path with this hardware setup.
Check the /var/log/messages file for additional information.
