VMWare ( VMDK and Golden Master ) Question!!!

Hello, I'm trying to boot from a (vmdk) and my enviroment is ESX server 3.0.1 is this possible?
I'm trying to create a new VM and have it read from the (vmdk) image I have on my hard drive...Any suggestions?

2nd Question, How do you boot from a Golden Master image?

Tutorials or instructions would be great!!

This doesn't sound like it has anything to do with HP-UX? What OS/hardware are you using?

Hi,

How are you trying to boot from a vmdk file ?

A vmdk file is used by ESX server as a virtual disk file...

For documentation start here:
