Why does PSP require 32bit RPMs on a 64bit OS?
Why does the Proliant Support Pack require the installation of 32bit i386 RPMs when being installed on a x86 AMD64? Especially when it asks to install the 32bit gcc compiler which a 64bit version is already installed.

Re: Why does PSP require 32bit RPMs on a 64bit OS?
I did a quick check and I believe this is a legacy check from before servers supported x86_64 processors. When we upgraded the code to support x86_64 processors, it must have been overlooked and was never caught because it poses no problems that we are aware of.
I took the check out and everything installed and ran correctly on my test configuration. We'll have to test this throughly before I can recommend that it works in all configurations. If it tests out, we'll remove this check in a future release of the Linux PSP.
Thanks for pointing this out.
