Re: wireless problem
First, need to know what the OS is. Linux? What distribution.
After you answer this question you can be pointed to where to get the wireless software for your laptop.

Re: wireless problem
Anyway - as far as I know, there is no linux drivers for built-in broadcom wifi chip; but you can use Windows drivers using ndiswrapper: http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/

Re: wireless problem
Sorry to disagree with you. I have a Dell latitude 505 running SuSE 10.0 and I have wireless network communication !
This has nothing to do with HP, but it prooves that it is possible, right out of the box for SusE Linux.
Greetings,
Philippe

Re: wireless problem
As far as I know, Presario2500 and Dell latitude 505 use different chipsets for WIFI. WIFI of Dell latitude 505 supported by IPW2200 linux driver.
