BATCH file for changing “automatic configuration script” on IE.

Hello experts,

My requirement is changing "automatic configuration script" on IE via BATCH file. Almost I got the solution, but when I change the settings via BATCH file it's not reflecting for the IE page which I have opened and active already, the new settings are reflecting only for the new pages.

Someone please explain how to get this enabled for the opened page also.

Below is the code for changing "automatic configuration script" and removing it.

This is a normal behaviour and it's by design.

There's nothing you can do to change IE settings at runtime for open pages:

IE reads the registry at startup of the program or for new instances.

I have some experience in managing IE settings via batch or VBSCRIPT.
The only thing you can do is to detect open pages and reload a new window with tat url. This can be done via vbscript.

Thank you so much for the reply. But as you said, there is no other way for the pages which are opened already. It will be very difficult to close all the open page and reopen it again.

R u sure that, we can't do anything for the open pages to take effect of new changes?

I think its not applicable for already opened file. It will get changed after Reloading.
