dvd drive
Help from anyone, is it possible for the drivers to be reinstsalled to a dvd drive that wnat reconize any disk, cd or dvd.So that the drive will work again? And the drive will work? thanks, marvin

A DVD drive does not usually require drivers and should be able to recognise any disc anyway. Try removing the drive from device manager and have windows re-detect the drive.

For your information, you can skip the Steps 9 : Clearing the registry filters in XP, and try this instead of them.

This is a direct download link. This is a very small file to download. Double click on the downloaded file to run the patch. And then , restart the computer for the changes to come into effect.
If the issue does not resolved, continue with the rest of the steps.
