help! (application recovery cd's)

I own a hp pavilion 9695c and i lost disk 1 of 2 of application recovery. but i still have disk 2 of 2. will i be able to restore ALL of my applications? what is in disk 1 of 2? if u can help me, that would be great.

disk 1 lets you reformat your hard drive so it is just like when you bought the computer, or you can format it but keep some programs. disk two is only the driver and program recovery disk, you cannot recover the whole system if something major goes wrong. you can order disk one for your specific pavilion from hp i think.

Alex, you can call the Parts line at 1-800-227-8167 to obtain those CDs. They are usually available for a nominal cost. HP usually keeps these CDs accessible for up to three years after the model is introduced.
