HPE 698465-001 SAS PCI-E C Raid Controller
Hi All,
I have been pulling my hair out trying to find a driver for the above card, for either windows 10 or Server2019 and keep hitting a brick wall. Windows both versions are seeing the controller but saying it is not working as the driver is correct but the device is not working, on post when the the Server is booting up the Raid controller Led is Green then as soon as it gets to intilaizing Pci-E cards on the boot up post process the led goes Amber and the card is not seen.
Server being used is a HPE DL380 Gen 9 Any links to the correct driver is appreciated

Good day!
I understand that you're experiencing issues with the HPE 698465-001 SAS PCI-E C Raid Controller on Windows 10 and Server 2019. It's crucial to have the correct driver for the controller to ensure proper functionality.
1. you may try to find it here: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/km/search#q=DL380%20Gen9&t=DriversandSoftware&sort=relevancy&layout=table&numberOfResults=25
2. Ensure that you are installing the driver correctly. Sometimes, the driver might need to be installed during the OS installation process, especially for RAID controllers.
3. Check if there are any firmware updates available for the RAID controller. Sometimes, firmware updates can address compatibility issues and improve performance.
4. Use HPE Intelligent Provisioning during server setup. It can help with installing the correct drivers and firmware for various components.

Re: HPE 698465-001 SAS PCI-E C Raid Controller
Hello,
Looks like it is an HP P1224 RAID controller, or also called HP SAS Expander Card. You may refer to "Offline Firmware Supplemental Update - HP SAS Expander Card" for downloading and installing the expander card's firmware.
You may also try "Supplemental Update / Online ROM Flash Component for Linux (x64) – HPE 12Gb/s SAS Expander Firmware for HPE Smart Array Controllers and HPE HBA Controllers" if the above is not helpful.
Regards,
