make sounds

my HP ominbook XE3 notebook computer does not work any more. it make sounds, probably there is some problem with hardware in motherboard.

Does someone know how to get back to factory for fix? This computer is almost 4 years old. no any warranty any more. So I need to know how much it would cost.

It would cost more than a 4 year old notebook is worth to send it back to the factory. There are only a few moving parts, fan, harddrive, floppy or CD Drive. Most likely error to make noise and not let it boot would be the harddrive. Probably time to replace it. Pull the harddrive out and see if it will boot to a floppy or CD. IF it does then it's time to go shopping for a new harddrive. Don't suppose you have a set of Restore CDs? You will need to reload the operating system and drivers.
