I have formatted my computer and it still displays this error (note: the first set of numbers in the brackets change). This can happen when playing a game or when not running any programs at all - including hidden processes. I have Windows XP Pro SP1 and all the updates installed. Updated bios and just downloaded all new drivers. Tried multiple system restores. I have disabled my firewall and virus protection but still no avail.
Anyone have any ideas?

SolutionIs your BIOS v3.18? It is a new (less tahn 1 week) version avaailable here: http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/softwareList.jhtml?reg=&cc=us&prodId=hppavilion326838&lc=en&plc=&softitem=Microsoft%20Windows%20XP&sw_lang=en&pagetype=software
While you're there, see if there's anything else newer than what you've already installed.
If that doesnn't help, I would consider the latest drivers/INF files available directly from Intel for 865G chipset:

Since you say it happens when nothing is going on it may be the video driver. You could try changing the display back to VGA with 16 colors. Not good for gaming I know but it might help find the problem. If that doesn't help then try going into Device Manager and disabling the sound drivers
You can also set it up to give you a memory dump when it happens. That may help locate the problem. Also

may be of some use.

Re: Multiple IRP Complete Requests
The update for my bios seems to have done the trick. Many thanks! I appreciate the help!
