NW8440 / Bluetooth device issue (can't enable)

I can't enable bluetooth on my new NW8440 (Vista Business). I can see the device as disabled in HP Wirless Utility some times, and it was showing with some issues in Device Manager. Some times the bluetooth device is not listed any where at all. Currently, it is in HP Wireless utility, but not in Device Manager. I tried to update driver, but since it is already installed I can't update. And I can't find a way to unistall as the device is not listed in Device Manager.

Y'day was the first time I tried bluetooth, and I could see it in device manager once.

Can some one help pls?

does it detect it in "add new hardware"? if it isnt in device manager it should be picked up when you do this.

A driver install should give you the option to overwrite/repair anyway

No, find new hardware doesn't show BT devices at all...

I tried BT setup from HP Driver CD..it is giving me error telling device is already installed. It doesn't give me option to overwrite/update.

As I mentioned earlier, I did see this device once in device manager. But later, it is not visible at all and hence I can't update/change driver thru device manager. BT is visible in HP Wireless utility as DISABLED, and it can be ENABLED only thru Device Manager (as per HP Utility)!

Have you looked for a newer driver on the HP site?
