pci device not found

Hello, my Windows 2000 Pro on each restart states "pci device not found". I have tried all methods to supply a driver, delete the old etc. but as I can not find out what Device is needing a driver I can not really supply a driver.
To handle in the PCI instal driver routine, I have tried Windows update, supplied a W2K CD had the PC search the C-drive, done the Microsoft full update of 2000. I am still getting the error message.
How can I find out what device is requiring the driver?
Regards, Peter

Re: pci device not found

Hi, Peter,

PCI Devices - modem, audio card, video card, etc....

Are you missing any devices? Have any loaded with a standard driver?

Re: pci device not found

If you right click on My Computer and click on Management then click on Device Manager, look for something with a yellow exclamation point. That will identify the hardware in need of a driver for you.
If at first you don't succeed, you must be installing Windows

Re: pci device not found

Hi Peter
Try the Everest Home Edition (for free in http://www.lavalys.com/products/overview.php?pid=1тМй=en&pageid=1) and search for any device not properly configured.

Usually Everest will point to the download driver of the device...

Keep us updated

Re: pci device not found

Hi,

Did you installed drivers supplied with your motherboard's cd?
