Printer drivers on MS Terminal Server
New HP printer drivers are the bane of Terminal Server administrators causing
much frustration and discussion on lists such as thin@onelist.com . Does HP
have a policy in place for testing their drivers for use on Microsoft Terminal
Server ? This is a popular product with strong growth yet HP drivers are the
cause of frequent problems such as BSODs and spooler crashes.
Your drivers are not the only culprits but since your printers are so popular
and respected they are the main cause of frustration. For information on
specific problems you might search the list archives at
http://www.thethin.net/search.cfm Some updated drivers would be very welcome by
over 1,000 administrators !

Re: Printer drivers on MS Terminal Server
Don't blame HP for Microsoft mistakes...
Try using Linux instead.

Re: Printer drivers on MS Terminal Server
NO, DONT BLAME MICROSOFT FOR HP PROBLEMS!!!
I am an admin that is trapped in the wars of these companies blaming each other. If its not Microsoft or Citrix its HP`s problem, Each blaming the other!!! Frankly just crying and just fix the FREAKIN thing!
A driver should be made to suite the OS System NOT the other way around! Thats why different drivers are made. Other wise why have other OS.
