WIn 2008 ML350 G3 Nic Problems
I have 2 ML350's and both seem to have issues as a domain controller. Clients cant join the domain. The server seems to be broadcasting correctly but from other clients id doesnt. I have spent a lot of time on this issue.
The NIs should be 7760's given thats the model for ML350. I have done everything including reinstalling drivers, using the second machine, reconfiguring and trouble shooting DNS and AD, Domain Control... no luck.
After installing Win 2008 Server and creating a fresh tree in a new forest clients can not join domain. Internet & exchange2007(on the dc) work fine. The Error after entering a valid domain admin user and pass comes back: domainname.com: network path not found. Can ping domain controller from client by fqdn adn IP.
Both machines are Compaq Proliant ML350 G3's Nics are presumably Broadcom 7760's
Clearly the client can see the domain controller.AD seems fine as does DNS. Have tried reinstalling more than one and changed the box the DC is on.
DCdiag on the domaincontroler is clean no errors.
DCdiag from the client produces:

Re: WIn 2008 ML350 G3 Nic Problems
***HP PLEASE LOOK AT THIS*****
This is clearly a problem with this NIC 7760 and this Server type ML350G3.
HP should document this as a known problem with 2008 and the ML 350 G3 (if not already). I have more than one ML350G3 with this problem. I finally had to retire the ML350 G3's and use the disks and Memory in DL380 G3's. The DL380 G3's work fine the first time. The ML350G3 wont allow Domain client registrations or register itself as a client on another domain when using Win 2008 Server.
I have 2 unusable servers. :0(
