Appmid System Management Agent
Hello.
I have the Appmind agent for OpenVms integrated with OpenView console operations. Can somebody tell me how can I obtain hardware problems reported by operator.log or something like that? In Appmind I use console configuration, and also logfile control (operator.log) but I'm not an administrator and I don't know what strings search to obtain hardware problems that I've in my installation.
Thanks and regards everybody.

Re: Appmid System Management Agent
This is how I do report hardware problems on my systems.
I monitor errors in general (show error).
When an errors occurs, I use the appropriate software to analyse the error (ca on GS160, diag on all others).
I scan all the messages for things I know are harmless. If any messages are left, an alarm is given and manual interaction is needed.
I also use snmp dumps to monitor hardware such as hubs and sanswitches and I monitor all shadow set changes.

Re: Appmid System Management Agent
Forgot to mention that I monitor batteries, spare disks and failed disks of disk controllers by doing set ho/scsi.
