AS4100 CPU 3 Timed Out

I have an AS4100 runinning OpenVMS 7.3. This node has 4 CPU's. I tried START/CPU 3 and it first went into INIT then back to TIMOUT. What can be possible causes and how can I check for errors?

Louann,

Seems quite likely the CPU board is broken... ;-)

Start with SHOW ERROR. Are any counted against the CPU? If there are errors, check the errorlog. Try DIAGNOSE or Compaq Analyze. Also check SHOW CPU/FULL for clues.

If you can't find anything, log a hardware case with your local Customer Support Centre.
