Re: burnned on W2K?

Hello,

you do not want and ISO 9660 CD! As I tried to
explain:

1.) Create virtual disk on VMS
2.) init, mount the disk with ODS-2 filesystem
3.) Backup Installation disk to virtual disk
4.) Optional - put addtional patches/LP on the
virtual disk
5.) Dismount virtual disk
6.) Burn the Container file for the virtual disk to CD (this should also work on W2k, although I have not tried this)

Re: burnned on W2K?

As long as the container file is a real CD images (which will normally be the case) you can copy it (FTP, binary of course) to W2K, and burn the image to CD. Beware: NOT all products are capable to burn a container file in one shot onto CD (Nero can, I'm not sure about Roxio). Suggestion: try CD-RW first, if VMS reads that, it's safe to burn on CR-R. If not, you won't lose a CD...
