Dear Java programmer,
If you are interested in having an ODS-2 or ODS-5 VMS file specification turned to a Unix file specification for your Java software, you may refer to http://vouters.dyndns.org/tima/OpenVMS-Java-Unix-CRTL_API_decc$translate_name-Java_solution.html
This kind of Java code is mostly interesting when porting Java based languages onto OpenVMS such as JRuby or Jython. You may post why your are insterested in such code as a reply to this note. I'd be interested in knowing other fallouts.
