Paul,

it's this one:

"DECC$FILENAME_UNIX_ONLY" = "enable"

As I could reproduce your unzip error message, I tried all 8 logicals and the failure comes and goes with:

DECC$FILENAME_UNIX_ONLY

Problem solved and documented.

Thanks Volker (and other contributers). It's been an educational ride on this one. Main lesson: SPAWN before installation!
