DEC Alpha keyboard mapping
After booting to VMS 7.3 CD and opening DCL command prompt typing a colon produces a + sign. Anyone have a solution?

Re: DEC Alpha keyboard mapping
Riley,
What system are you using? What terminal?
Is it possible (in your configuration) that whatever you are using for your keyboard is set to a keyboard layout other than the one for which it is marked (e.g., are you using an English keyboard in French mode)?

Re: DEC Alpha keyboard mapping
Riley,
unlees you are a very experienced blind-typist (in which case you should setup the keyboard layout to match what you are used to) you should make sure that your keyboard setup matches whatever your hardware keyboard layout happens to be (and there are MANY different of those around!)

Proost.
Have one on me.
