DECServer 700
Hi,
I have trouble to configure an old DECserver 700. The problem is that I can not access the console port. I suppose that I must use rolled over cable, and connect it to a VT-terminal, or PC on port 1.
The LED lamp is always blinking green, but I cannot find information about the meaning. Maybe the DECserver is reset to factory settings? What should I do to continue the configuration??

Re: DECServer 700
Hi Geir,
I don't understand if you already used that decserver. If yes, you don't need special cable on port 1; VT and cable used for emulation is enough. In this case you can also open console port via decnet
$ MC NCP CONN VIA PHYS ADDR
If you decserver is new (refurbished) device,
I'm afraid it's reset to factory default.
