DLT Tape drive error

Hello Guys,

Recently, I have this problem

Veritias Backup Exec is reporting that the tape drive is always busy so when a tape is inserted it is not recognized and no jobs are able to run.

I could not find any answer for this problem. Please help

Tuan,

Welcome to the VMS forum!

Check the status of the DLT with a:

$ SHOW DEVICE/FULL dlt

Where dlt is the DLT device name. Check if it is allocated or mounted. Check also the error count.
