Re: Error Account 34 - which error?
It is all in the system:
$ write sys$output f$mess(34)
%SYSTEM-E-NOPRIV, insufficient privilege or object protection violation
or
$ exit 34
%SYSTEM-E-NOPRIV, insufficient privilege or object protection violation
for further information / explanation / hints, first try to ask teh system for help:
$ help /mess /fac=SYS NOPRIV
:
hth,
Hein.

Re: Error Account 34 - which error?
you might want to describe in more detail, how this error shows up or is displayed, what you did or what command you issued, that reported this error.
Is this an error displayed on some device operator display or an error received on OpenVMS ?

Re: Error Account 34 - which error?
it's hardware problem
i called HP FSE, and he has fixed it :)
the root cause is the physical driver in the tape drive :p
