Re: Freeware XTERM Utility doesn't allow data input
Vetter,
Could you please describe the configuration you're using?
What platform are you running as your display?
(Hardware/Software combination)
Which transport are you using to connect? (DECnet, TCP/IP, LAT ....)?
What do you get with SHOW DISPLAY?
Robert

Master you were right about 1 thing -- the negotiations were SHORT!

Re: Freeware XTERM Utility doesn't allow data input
Hello
I have a Alpha server DS10 with Openvms 7.3-2, Decwindow Motif 1.3-1 and TCP/ip 5.4 Eco 5
My display is a XP Window PC with a telnet Exceed connection?
SHOW DISPLAY: device wsa46
node name
transport TCPIP
server 0
screen 0
With Openvms 7.3, Motif 1.2 / Tcpip 5.1 it was ok.

Re: Freeware XTERM Utility doesn't allow data input
It was the big bump in X between the 1.2-n Motif and 1.3, I'm fairly sure. It's not transport or display sensitive.
It was never a big enough issue for me to spend any time on detailed investigation. Unless anyone has any particularly bright ideas, someone will have to dive into the code. Or not, as the case may be.
