HOST-RESOURCES-MIB support
how do i enable HOST-RESOURCES-MIB support?
i have the SNMP agent running ... but when i walk it, i see RFC1213 entries, RFC1155 entries, and entries for two enterprise MIBs [for which i don't have the MIB files installed: enterprises.58 (TGV) and enterprises.105 (Process)]
but no HOST-RESOURCES-MIB entries
is HOST-RESOURCES-MIB support only available if i install the net-snmp agent? or is there some way to enable it given my current HP/MultiNet combination?

Re: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB support
Stuart,
follow the instructions given in http://h71000.www7.hp.com/openvms/products/mgmt_agents/install.html#multinet
You'd need the TCPIP$HR_MIB.EXE from a TCP/IP Services kit compatible with your VMS version.
HTH,
Martin

Re: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB support
It sounds like you are running MultiNet, not TCP/IP Services. Depending upon the version of VMS that you are running you may be able to use the TCP/IP Services Host Resources MIB image with MultiNet. If you are running VMS V7 on an Alpha or VMS V8 then you can follow the directions at http://www.process.com/tcpip/mndocs52/ADMIN_GUIDE/Ch23.htm#E54E54 to run the Host Resources MIB agent with MultiNet.
